Well Being and Mental Health
At William Law we know that children will experience a wide range of emotions. Having feelings and emotions is normal, feeling a bit worried about something that is happening is normal. We want to encourage children to recognise the different feelings they may have and to know what strategies they can use. It is also important that we help our children to understand that these feelings are normal, they will come and go. It is just our bodies way of responding to things that may be happening. These normal feelings and emotions are a part of our normal healthy wellbeing.
There may be times and circumstances which result in bigger feelings lasting for a prolonged period of time, where children may not know why they have that particular feeling, because they have felt it for an extended period of time. When this happens, please speak to the class teacher or our Learning Mentors to discuss your concerns.
Please see our leaflets below for more information and if you would like further information about what support is available for parents and children, do not hesitate to make contact.
