I have been a Parent Governor since November 2018. I currently serve on the salaries committee.
I am a mum of three children, two of which are at the school. Since my eldest daughter started at the school in 2012, I have got to know the school very well and became part of the School Association 3 years ago, volunteering my time in supporting events held. This inspired me to seek a role as a parent governor.
I’m employed by the NHS as a registered nurse for the past 13 years. In my current role as a Community Sister, I manage a group of Nurses and Healthcare assistants as well as providing care for patients in their home settings.
As I’m a new parent governor, I’m looking forward to the challenges that the role brings. I feel the skills I have in my current job role will be very useful in my parent governor role.
I’m looking forward to working with the school and to building positive relationships with parents and staff alike. My ultimate aim is to help children to have a positive experience of school life during their time at William Law.
