I joined William Law as a Year 2 Teacher in 2016 and became a Staff Governor in June 2017 as a member of the Personnel and Pupil Welfare Committee. Prior to this I worked in a military school in Oakham. After one year in Year 2, I am now Year Group Leader and leading Forest School within the school.
I believe William Law is a school that believes in every child succeeding and developing, not only their academic abilities but both their social and emotional well-being. My role as a Staff Governor is to act as a voice between staff members and Governors in order to secure relationships within our school. I am particularly interested in developing our curriculum for every child to learn and especially introducing how children can learn using our outdoor environment which can be seen through my passion of Forest School.
