Choir invite to Citizenship Ceremony
William Law School choir (year 4, 5 and 6 members) were invited to sing at a Citizenship Ceremony at the Town Hall, Peterborough on Tuesday 4th March 2014.
This is a special event that both celebrates their status as British citizens and also welcomes new citizens to the local community. The Mayor of Peterborough, the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire and members of clergy, other faith leaders, councillors, police and Home Office were in attendance.
The children sang a range of songs and some of the children volunteered to play their instruments. It was a real honour to be asked to perform and the children thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
