class 4 update

This first (Spring) half term, class 4 have continued to work hard - our Literacy topic has been 'Little Red Writing Hood' (looking at the elements of fairy tales/story structure, as well as continuing to improve our use of full stops, capital letters and sentence connectives).

In Science we have been learning all about 'Ourselves' with a focus on the five senses. In Numeracy we have continued to develop our skills at adding and subtracting, and have also worked hard at doubling, and more recently telling the time.

'Role play' has been a regular feature, with much dressing up and acting out the story of 'LRRH', sometimes with puppets/scripts. Painting, clay work, junk modelling, biscuit making and book making have also kept us busy.

Despite the cold weather, in outdoor 'P.E' there has been much 'large ball work', (throwing, catching, rolling and kicking), with an emphasis on team work/partners.

Miss Robbins and I look forward to seeing you next half term at 'Parents Evening' where we can update you on next half term's topics.
