On Friday 16th July 2010, the school said an official Thank you and Goodbye to Mr Williams. He has been at the school since it opened and we spent the day remembering why he will be remembered as a special Head.
Excellence Assembly

Eastern Region Finals of the ASDA KWIK CRICKET TOURNAMENT 2010

On Thursday, 8th July, the William Law Kwik Cricket team represented Peterborough and Hunts in the Eastern Region Kwik Cricket Finals. Leaving school at 7.15am, the team set off for Mildenhall Cricket Club in Mildenhall, Suffolk. 15 other teams spanning seven counties in East Anglia awaited the team, all hoping to reach the final and therefore compete in the National Finals at Derbyshire County Cricket Ground. The William Law team were about to exceed all expectations!
Best Animation Award

The William Law Film Club collected the award for the "Best Animation" at the Peterborough Film Awards held at Kingsgate on the Evening of 9th July 2010.
County Cricket Finalists

On Thursday, 1st July, the William Law Cricket Team took part in the County Finals at Hinchingbrooke School, Huntingdon and were successful in reaching the Final by playing some terrific cricket. Although narrowly beaten in the final, they have progressed to the Regional Finals at Mildenhall Cricket Club, Suffolk on Thursday, 8th July. The National Finals at Derbyshire Cricket Club will await the Regional finalists so watch this space!

In a tournament held at Arthur Mellows school, William Law won the Peterborough schools Tournament. The final score in last match was 2-0 against a good Hampton Hargate Team. Well Done to the Team.
William Law - Off To Crystal Palace

In an exciting game on 14th April 2010, William Law beat Werrington 3-1. This result means that William Law will be heading to Crystal Palace on Friday 23rd April 2010 where they will play against the other Community Sheild winners in the South.

Peterborough Football Final

Back at school and already our footballers are preparing for the Final of the Peterborough Schools Community Cup sponsored and run by Peterborough Football Club - The POSH. It will be held on Wednesday at William Law. We are playing Werrington School. All the best to the Team.
The following day they are going to take part in the Peterborough Schools Football Final at Arthur Mellows School. There will be two teams there at the tournament. Go William Law!!

Year 6 all dressed up today in 1940's clothes to celebrate the end of WW2. With games, 11 plus exams, handwriting, flag waving, sports days and celebration meals - the Year 6 children experienced the joy and jubiliation that came with the end of the war.

Another Football Glory Story

On Tuesday afternoon William Law, A and B teams, took on Werrington - their local rivals. As was the case last week, THE WILLIAM LAW TEAM were convincing winners, the A team winning 9 - 0 and the B team (first game together), 7-0. Mr Lowings was impressed with their teamwork and passing game - it was a joy to watch so the specators said, Well Done to All.

Operation Christmas Child

The school is once again supporting this charity. It is a very popular and well supported appeal. Last year the organisation collected several hundred filled shoeboxes from our school hall. All the children in school will have heard about the shoebox appeal during RE lessons this week. Each child has been given a leaflet to bring home today about this years appeal. This gives all the details required on how to fill your shoebox along with suggestions on items to include.
